For those of you who have submitted a profile on GUST, your profile has been reviewed by investors. The investors have selected teams to meet up with, during the Expo at IDA Wednesday 16. We will inform the teams that have been selected, and you will have approx. 20 minutes to talk to investors.
All the World Cup participants will be part of an investor pitch training workshop Wednesday morning, to prepare you for meeting an investor either same day or in the future.
Expo, what should I prepare?
Wednesday, September 16, during the afternoon, we will have an Expo where key business people and investors are invited to network and be introduced to your business idea. Therefore, please bring something that you can present on a stand during the Expo (presentation on iPad, prototype, flyers, pictures or something you feel represent your business idea). You will have a small cafétable and approx. 2×2 meters space. Also remember visit cards and other promotional materials.
How about pitching?
As part of the University Startup World Cup competition you will be pitching (pitch + show slide deck) in front of a jury, who will then ask questions about your business. Based on your presentation and your reflections on the questions, they will chose if you have won the judging round. For tips on preparing a pitch, see here.Your pitch must be in English and you have only 4 minutes pitch time, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A from the judges!
